Indian woman shuttler Saina Nehwal [ Images ] on Thursday sailed into the quarterfinal of the ongoing Yonex Chinese Taipei Open Badminton, beating Hong Kong's Kwan Yi Mong 21-8, 21-12.

Second seeded Saina, who is playing in her first tournament since making it to the quarterfinal of the Beijing [ Images ] Olympics [ Images ], will now lock horn with Porntip Buranaprasertsuk of Thailand, who defeated Shih Han Huang 20-22, 21-12, 23-21. 

Saina beat Singapore's Mingtian Fu 21-19, 21-19 earlier in the Grand Prix [ Images ] event.
