Former world number one Lindsay Davenport [ Images ] has pulled out of the French Open [ Images ] starting on Sunday because of personal reasons, organisers said on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old American, who returned to the court last September after an 11-month absence to have a baby, lies 26th in the WTA rankings. She was a French Open semi-finalist in 1998.
Two other American players, Meilen Tu and Meghann Shaughnessy, have also pulled out of the claycourt Grand Slam, because of injury worries.
World number six Andy Roddick [ Images ], who pulled out on Monday because of a shoulder injury, will be replaced in the men's draw by Argentine Guillermo Coria, a losing finalist in Paris in 2004, organisers added.
