The prospect of three English teams reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League [ Images ] -- and also of an all-English final -- increased on Friday when Chelsea [ Images ], Liverpool and Manchester United [ Images ] all avoided each other in the quarter-final draw.
Manchester United will face AS Roma, Liverpool, who knocked out holders Barcelona [ Images ] on Tuesday will meet PSV Eindhoven, the conquerors of last season's finalists Arsenal [ Images ], while Chelsea will face Valencia.
The other quarter-final pits six-time winners AC Milan [ Images ] with four-time winners Bayern Munich [ Images ].
The draw in Athens also raised the possibility of another Champions League semi-final between Chelsea and Liverpool as happened in 2005 when Liverpool beat Chelsea before defeating AC Milan in the final.
The winners of the Chelsea/Valencia tie will face either PSV or Liverpool in one semi-final, while AS Roma or Manchester United will play either AC Milan or Bayern Munich in the other.
The quarter-finals will take place on April 3-4 and April 10-11 with the semis on April 24-25 and May 1-2.
The final will be in Athens on May 23.
