Indian Formula One driver Narain Karthikeyan [ Images ] will race in the A1 Grand Prix [ Images ] for the second time this season at Durban, South Africa [ Images ] on Sunday.
Karthikeyan, who became India's [ Images ] first Formula One driver in 2005 and is now a test driver with Williams, helped Team India score their first points of the season in the A1 race in New Zealand [ Images ] last month.
"I'm delighted to be rejoining the team in South Africa," he said in a team statement on Wednesday. "The New Zealand race was very much a learning process.
"I've been busy with the Williams F1 team since then and unfortunately had to miss the last race in Australia [ Images ]," he said. "Now I can't wait to get back in the car and represent India in A1 GP."
The driver had spurned offers from A1 last season, saying he wanted to regain a regular drive with an established F1 team.
However, he has not been successful and has said he would use the opportunity in A1 to race again.
