Ace shooter Abhinav Bindra [ Images ] finished fifth after shooting an aggregate of 698.7 in the men's Air Rifle event at the Munich Air Gun Shooting Championships in Germany [ Images ].

Abhinav was third in the qualifying round where he scored 597, however he could not sustain the momentum in the finals and slipped after scoring 101.7.

Austrian Thomas Franik shot a score of 702.1 to clinch the gold.

Hungarian Peter Sidi (700.4) and Ukranian Artur Ayvazyan (700.1) bagged the silver and bronze respectively.

Gagan Narang [ Images ] finished 10th with 595.
