Massu beats Martin to win Brazil Open

Chilean Nicolas Massu [ Images ] comfortably beat Alberto Martin [ Images ] of Spain 6-3, 6-4 to win the Brazil [ Images ] Open at the Costa do Sauipe resort on Saturday.
Olympic [ Images ] singles and doubles champion Massu, seeded sixth, handed seventh seed Martin his second successive defeat in the final after he lost to fellow Spaniard Rafael Nadal [ Images ] last year.
Martin reached the final after saving three match points in a three-set victory over Olivier Patience of France [ Images ], who had upset top seed Argentine Gaston Gaudio in the second round.
