Indian men finish fourth

India [ Images ] finished fourth after losing to Indonesia in the Asian Zone qualifier of the Thomas Cup badminton in Jaipur [ Images ] on Sunday.

Arvind Bhatt won his singles match against Indonesia's Santoso Simon 21-13, 21-15, but the other Indians failed to pull it off against their stronger opponents as they went down 1-3 in the play-off for the third and fourth places.

In the first singles, Chetan Anand [ Images ] lost to Kuncoro Sony Dwi 13-21, 18-21. Hadiyanyo Liluk and Yulianto Alvent doubles Indonesia's lead as they beat Rupesh Kumar [ Images ] and Sanave Thomas [ Images ] 21-12, 21-11 in the doubles.

Bhatt gave the Indians some hope with his victory over Santoso Simon, but Diju V and Ismail Aseel P could not take advantage and were beaten by Kido Marks and Sehwan Hendra 6-21, 20-22 in the doubles.
