Former BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya condoled Union Sports Minister Sunil Dutt's death, describing him as a pleasant personality who was keen about the development of all sporting disciplines in the country.
"He was a perfect gentleman," Dalmiya said, adding that Dutt always exhibited his enthusiasm about taking Indian sports to the international level.
"He always exhibited true sportsman spirit and interacting with him was a pleasure," he continued. "I had several interactions with him. He was very enthusiastic in ensuring that the Champions Trophy [ Images ] cricket tournament was held in India [ Images ]. He willingly accompanied us when we went to meet Finance Minister P Chidambaram [ Images ] on the issue. Such an active sports minister has not been seen in a long time."
