Brazil [ Images ] striker Ronaldinho [ Images ] will miss Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Argentina because of a thigh strain, team doctor Jose Luis Runco said Monday.

Central defender Luisao [ Images ] has also been ruled out of the match in Belo Horizonte with a similar injury, he added.

"Both Luisao and Ronaldinho are in a complicated situation," Runco told a media conference at the team's training camp. "The pain is strong and there's not enough time for them to recover by Wednesday.

Runco said Barcelona [ Images ] striker Ronaldinho left Sunday afternoon's practice match early complaining of pains in his left thigh. Benfica [ Images ] defender Luisao's problem is in his right thigh.
