Four Indians for Nike Jr. Masters tennis

Agnel Gladwin (Maharashtra [ Images ]), Yuki Bhambri [ Images ] (Delhi [ Images ]), G K Shwetha (Karnataka [ Images ]) and Nandita Krishnan (Tamil Nadu) will represent India [ Images ] at the Nike Junior Tour International Masters tennis tournament in South Africa's [ Images ] Sun City.

Nike officials said 25 countries are taking part in the tournament, slated to begin on November 1.

Gladwin (boys' under-14), Bhambri (boys' under-12), Shwetha (girls' under-14) and Nandita (girls' under-12) emerged tops in their respective age categories in the four-day NJT National Masters, which concluded in Bangalore on Saturday.

32 finalists from the four zonal tournaments -- in Delhi, Mumbai [ Images ], Kolkata [ Images ] and Hyderabad -- competed at the National Masters at the Nike Bhupathi Tennis Village in Bangalore.

Nike officials said the four winners are also scheduled to play a world team tennis tournament. They said NJT is a world class junior tennis concept developed by Nike to promote young and budding tennis players.
