But the fifth seeded pair of Paes and Czech Republic's Rikl went down to second seeds Bob and Mike Bryan [ Images ] of USA 3-6, 4-6 in the quarterfinals.
Bhupathi and Mirnyi will now take on Cyril Suk and Martin Damm [ Images ] of Czech Republic after the sixth seed pair beat James Blake [ Images ] of USA and Joshua Eagle of Australia 6-2, 3-6, 6-4.
In the other semi-final, Bob and Mike Bryan will face the fourth seed pair of Jonas Bjorkman [ Images ] of Sweden and Todd Woodbridge of Australia.
