Madhumita murder: Inspector arrested in Lucknow

The Central Bureau of Investigation on Saturday arrested a police inspector in Lucknow [ Images ] for alleged 'suppression of evidence and illegal confinement of people' in the Madhumita Shukla murder case.

Inspector Yagya Narain Dikshit was questioned soon after his return from a trip to a neighbouring town early on Saturday morning, CBI sources said.
He was placed under arrest after he failed to provide convincing answers, they added.
