Shah Rukh Khan became a star, thanks to his anti-hero roles in the big hits, Darr and Baazigar [ Images ]. He followed it up with Anjaam, opposite Madhuri Dixit [ Images ]. But the audience had had enough of him playing the bad guy and the film tanked. 

SRK [ Images ] went on to do romantic roles, and emerged the ruling Khan of the Hindi film industry.

Many years later, he tried to play a negative character again, in Farhan Akhtar's [ Images ] Don. But the film did not do as well as was expected from an SRK Diwali [ Images ] release.

Now, the actor is all set to play an out-and-out negative character in Krrish [ Images ] 2.
