Rajni's daughter weds

Superstar Rajnikanth's [ Images ] daughter Aishwarya and upcoming Tamil hero Dhanush were married today.

The actor, in his early 20s, tied the mangalsutra around the neck of his young bride at a function held as per Vedic rites, in the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa [ Images ].

The ceremony was held at Rajnikanth's Poes Road bungalow in Chennai.

Prominent film personalities, including Kamal Haasan [ Images ], Satyaraj, Hema Malini [ Images ], Shatrughan Sinha [ Images ], Ambarish, Mohan Babu and Chiranjeevi [ Images ] attended the function.

Dhanush became a star thanks to the hit song Manmadaraja and film Kaadal Kondein.

The wedding celebrations will include lunch on November 20, and a reception in the evening, which will be open to the public.
