India's IT hub Bangalore is ranked 66th among the world's top centres of commerce. Bangalore scored high on economic stability.
Eight Asian economies figure among the among the top 25 centers of commerce. These are: Tokyo (3rd), Singapore (4th), Hong Kong (6th), Seoul (9th), Sydney (12th), Osaka (19th), Taipei (22nd) and Shanghai (24th). Asia's dominance among the top 25 cities globally demonstrates the growing importance of Asian cities to a progressively urbanized global economy, states the study.
