England [ Images ] will make an announcement on Friday about whether injured all-rounder Andrew Flintoff [ Images ] will return home from the tour of the Caribbean.

Flintoff is not playing in the fourth Test in Barbados after suffering a hip injury during the drawn third Test in Antigua last week.

"I think there will be some news," England captain Andrew Strauss [ Images ] told reporters on Thursday after the first day of the fourth test.

"Obviously, he is continuing his rehabilitation and I think there will be some news on him later."

Following the fifth Test in Trinidad from March 6-10, England are due to play a Twenty20 [ Images ] game and five one-day internationals.

Ravi Bopara [ Images ] and pace bowler Amjad Khan [ Images ] were drafted into the England squad after Flintoff's injury and the former was named in the side for the fourth Test.
