England [ Images ] have omitted fast bowler James Anderson [ Images ] from the team to face the Stanford Superstars in Saturday's US $20 million match in Antigua.

Anderson joins Alastair Cook [ Images ], Ravi Bopara [ Images ] and Ryan Sidebottom [ Images ] as the players to miss out, with captain Kevin Pietersen [ Images ] opting to include spinner Graeme Swann [ Images ] alongside Nottinghamshire team mate Samit Patel.

"We haven't played a second spinner for I don't know how long but unfortunately conditions have meant Jimmy [Anderson] has to miss out," Pietersen said on the English Cricket Board (ECB) website on Friday.
