Sun ties up with Price Waterhouse AssociatesSun Microsystems has signed a memorandum of understanding with Price Waterhouse Associates to set up an 'authorised Java centre' at PWA's technology centre in Salt Lake, Calcutta.
PWA Director Roopen Roy and Sun Microsystems India Managing Director Bhaskar Pramanik signed the papers.
Pramanik believes Java is transforming the enterprise-computing environment by enabling a safe and robust platform for Internet commerce. This, he claims will transform business itself.
Designed for the network, Java computing provides integration of applications, integration with legacy systems and rapid development and implementation of new business applications and processes to better respond to changes occurring throughout the supply chain.
"The AJC will be able to provide consultancy and customised solutions built around Sun's innovative network computing technologies to our customers in India with particular emphasis on the manufacturing segment," he added.
