It is therefore indeed a matter of great honour for Arena to be the pioneer training institution to offer a full-fledged degree program to our Indian students.
Aptech Vice-President R Krishnan, who is chief of Arena, said the bachelor of multimedia degree from SCU is a three-year programme. Arena students can do the first two years in India itself alongside the Arena advanced diploma in multimedia.
He added that during the two years of the SCU's multimedia degree program in India, the students, in addition to the modules of the Arena advanced diploma in multimedia, would need to do seven additional SCU curriculum modules.
On completion of the two-year programme in India, the student is awarded an associate degree in multimedia from SCU.
Khera said that for the third year of the degree programme the student would need to go to Australia to complete his training on the campus.
Students who choose to pursue the third year in Australia get the added benefit of an internationally recognised degree in multimedia while doing a greater part of their education in India itself.
"We at SCU are delighted to collaborate with Arena, for this programme. We are confident of the high quality of design and evaluation systems of Arena courses and we look forward to offering an increasing number of state-of-the-art multimedia training programmes in association with Arena in the near future," said Bruce W N Lo, associate professor and head Southern Cross University.
